This past weekend (February 11-12, 2017) canopy-formation jumpers from all over the world came together at the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales to set some records. Armed with detailed plans and a whole lot of LED lights, they got to work Saturday night on a highly technical and rewarding build to set a night-formation record. Plans are already in the works for another night record attempt come April, as part of the Spring Fling Boogie.
The big-way sequential record came Sunday morning with a 3-point 26-way from 2 planes. The formations completed early and organizers believe they can build it up to a 4- or even 5-point formation at the next record attempts in April.
And some fun …
