Those attending the first VectorCamp at Chicagoland Skydiving Center are in for a treat tomorrow night (August 12)! Bill Booth (United Parachute Technologies), John LeBlanc (Performance Designs) and Jason “Cookie” Cook (Cookie Helmets) will be joining in for Drunken Skydiver History – The Roast of Industry Legends. You don’t want to miss out on this event, so head to CSC if you can (free entry to this portion of the camp!). If you can’t make it in person, tune in to the Blue Skies Mag Facebook page around 8:30 pm (Central Time) for live snippets from the event.

PD New Beginning

Sit down with the pillars of the skydiving industry in a bonfire hangout and hear firsthand the stories that shaped our sport. Drunken Skydiver History is a gloves-off roast of some of the key people responsible for creating the equipment we use to chase our dreams in the sky today. Raise drinks with Bill Booth, John LeBlanc, and Jason Cooke and hear the stories of how these individuals survived being young jumpers … like did you know that Bill Booth’s first jump master was considered experienced with only 6 jumps under his belt?! This event is focused on hearing the untold stories about these skydivers and the events that shaped them before they reached legendary status. Throw your questions at them, do shots with them, and be a part of the passing on of the unwritten history of skydiving.

Kick it in CSC’s courtyard around the bonfire for this free event during VectorCamps. Sandy Grillet will be emceeing the event that takes place on Friday evening, August 12, at 8:30 pm. Bill Booth and John LeBlanc will be on site and Jason Cooke will join via satellite. Take advantage of this chance to meet these guys and hang out with skydiving friends in a hilarious Drunken Skydiver History event.

If you have some questions you’d like the Roast Master to share, post them up on the Facebook event page or email them to bradc@uptvector.com. Please note that you do not have to be a registered VectorCamp participant to attend the roast – all are welcome!
