Gage Galle died in a BASE jumping incident in Norway over the weekend. No details are currently known about the accident.
Gage was a member of the PD Factory Team and had just placed fourth in the Swoop Challenge. He lived and worked in Hawaii and had more than 9,000 jumps in his 10-year skydiving career.

TEXT: Our hearts are heavy with sadness: We lost our teammate Gage Galle in a base jumping accident in Norway earlier today. We are beyond devastated. We don’t have many details other than he is gone and we are all reeling. Please be there to support each other and his family, as we are here. Gage was the epitome of a talented extreme athlete – he blazed his own trail with a beaming smile, and we are all lucky to have been a part of his journey.

TEXT: A precious light has been extinguished way too soon. Today my life changed forever. I lost my baby boy Gage.
Gage had a fatal base jumping accident in Norway this morning about 4:30 PST. I was so fortunate to spend almost two weeks with him and his friends in Copenhagen for Swoop Competition 2016 where he placed 4th and then travel to Voss, Norway for a few days with Derek and Nacho. I hugged him Wednesday and said goodbye,,,,,not realizing it would be for the last time. It was the best time we ever shared. He included me in everything, loving having me by his side. I will treasure all our memories forever. I love him so very much and I’m so proud of him.Gage had a passion for life and for skydiving. He loved his family and I felt his love in so many ways. Gage was adventurous, kind, happy, fun-loving, loved by all who knew him and mischievous. And a damn good swooper!!!!
My family and I have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and concern from friends and family all over the world. Everyone who ever knew him,,,,, loved him. He had a huge skydive family, from PD Factory, Flight 1, Skydive Hawaii, and so many more.
He’s now swooping in heaven with some great friends, Jessica and Evan Whitlock and many others. I can see his gorgeous smile, the twinkle in his eyes and hear his “Cuh Caw” and special whistle to get my attention. I think I can even hear him saying,,,,,, “What the hell went wrong?”
I love you Gage, more than all the fishes in the sea. I’ll carry our memories and your love close to my heart forever. Fly free and forever safe now. You’re loved and missed by everyone, especially Gavin and Gina. Soon we’ll have you home and celebrate your life,,,,,, just as you always celebrated each and every day.
Our favorite memory of Gage was when we asked the competitors at PD’s Project Orange event, “Why do you compete?”

Gage had an optimistic and upbeat personality that will be missed by so many.
