Reader question: What would you do with $3,428?

Written by Lara

If a relatively small chunk of change landed in your lap today, what would you spend it on? New gear? Jumps? Upgrades to the camper? Condoms and whiskey? This month, we want to know:

What would you do with $3,428?

Yes it’s an arbitrary, meaningless number. Or is it … ?

  • 2 options for me. Take the money and go to dune de playa, France and drag my toes in the sand as long as we can. Camping to maximize more flying days as possible. The other option would be to buy a container and reserve and sew a fluid wings prime and start learning to skydive.

  • For me, I’d use it to fly from the UK back to Elsinore where I did my AFF course 2 years ago. I’d love to return now, as I’m a more experienced jumper, and soak up that atmosphere without the pressure of potential failure.

  • I would buy a plain ticket from South Africa to Chicago and attend Summer Fest 2016 so I can see my friends and hang out with some of the coolest people alive.

  • I would focus on obtaining my Coach and AFF instructor ratings.

Then flying AFF and Camera would allow me to accelerate my goals of earning a spot in our local demo team.

  • I’d take a trip to Skydive Vallarta and finish my training! Broken ankle = delay, and then my drop zone discontinues it’s student program! I love tandem jumps, but seriously – I need to get back on track, and that’s about right to finish in Puerto Vallarta!
